I'm a Product Designer from Sri Lanka an island known for its breathtaking beaches, rich culture, and warm hospitality.
In 2020, I packed my bags and moved to Dubai during a period of uncertainty, as both the global pandemic and Sri Lanka's economic crisis unfolded. It wasn't the easiest time to start over in a new country, but it was a decision that challenged me to grow in ways I never expected.
What makes this city truly special is its diversity. Every day, I have the opportunity to collaborate with people from different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. Those experiences have shaped the way I think, communicate, and solve problems as a designer.
Looking back, I'm grateful for how far the journey has taken me. Every project has taught me something new, every challenge has helped me grow, and every collaboration has expanded my perspective.

Played a key role in shaping dubizzle's mobile app experience by establishing the foundation of the company's design system and defining the design language for the team. Single handedly created the initial set of reusable components, design principles, interaction patterns, and documentation, enabling designers and engineers to build consistent and scalable experiences across the app.

Joined a fast paced product team building a virtual events platform that enabled organizations to host online conferences, exhibitions, and networking experiences for audiences around the world. The platform was trusted by companies such as Microsoft, Salesforce, Tableau, SHRM, and Capgemini.
Apart from product design, I collaborated closely with developers to bring designs to life using HTML, CSS/SCSS, and Angular. I also conducted accessibility testing and implemented improvements to create a more inclusive experience, while supporting junior designers through design reviews, task planning, and regular feedback.

As my first company, it gave me the opportunity to explore different roles across the product lifecycle from business analysis to product design and front-end development. Working alongside experienced teams allowed me to understand how successful digital products are planned, designed, built, and delivered.
The environment also exposed me to a wide range of industries, including FinTech, Veterinary, SaaS, and Logistics.
